View Full Version : What is going on with Pinpoint?
Does any one know what is happening? Is there going to be a supply of product? How's about warranty? Nobody seems to know.
Thanks

No factory service available, but dealers can do some. They are owned by Mercury now and the customer (dis)service transition wasn't planned out well.

Don't get too worried, there will be both product, warranty service and customer support for Pinpoint. I believe Brunswicks sale of Zebco was the catalyst to Pinpoint coming under direction of Mercury. Seems to make sense to have Pinpoint / Motorguide under the Mercury Marine division. Be patient, I for one expect good things from the transition.

I have a 7420 graph that has condensation under the screen. I called the Pinpoint number on the manual and I was directed that the number was no longer in order and a new number to call.
I called the number which was Mercury Marine to my suprise and after a lenghty wait on hold I was finally directed to someone who then directed me to a service center for help with my problem.
I had to send the graph to Missouri for the repair.

Anyone looking for service in the Midwest might want to try this number. 952.881.0898 (Motor Clinic) Ask for Steve. Somewhere in MN.
I had a defective connector on a new 7520 power cable and had a replcacement cable in two days.
The above number was good in December don't know about now.
