What is the best way to make my 1/2 oz hot n tots run a bit more shallow, I would like them to run about the same as my 1/4 oz , bend the lip, grind down the lip, or weight the back of the lure , larger diameter line is out of the question.. I am sure there are a lot of secrets out there..environ@prodigy.net

The depth of Tots can be adjusted by moving the connector link, in the lip to the position closer to the front of the lip, for shallower running. These connecting links usually have to be cut off as the factory crimped them on. Replacement links are available from Jann's Netcraft, in Toledo. Never bend the lip on one of these, as they will never run right after you do. If you want them to run very shallow try running it close, behind a planer board. We frequently run as close as 10 to 15 feet behind boards. Hope this helps. Larry
