I hear this never took place before. I Had the pleasure to fish with Mark Marin on day 3 of the Millacs PWT tournament. We were fishing on of the community spots out on the mud. A walleye picked up my leach so I fed him a little. I set the hook and it seamed like a decent walleye. all of a sudden the fish really took off. It turns out the fish not only grabbed my hook but also another hook from a pro's line in another boat. when we both pulled it to the surface Mark backtroled to the fish with his bowmount and netted it. My question to you is who clames the fish being it was leagally hooked by myself and the pro?

IT sounds like it was netted in your boat, so I think that would be who claims it. BUT.......who did claim it?

Wow, seems like you guys were really close to have this happen . I could see if you were dragging lead, but you were rigging and were this close together ?
Anyway, I too would be curious what the rules are regarding this . I could see a very funny tug-o-war happening if it's whoever gets it to their boat first :P .

Results? They both got to weigh in the fish. It was a good call on the PWT's part.

No, only Martin got credit for the fish. Would not be fair to others if someone got creidt for 5.5 fish. The said they "should" split weight but only one got credit.

I've had that happen to me once, not in a tournament situation though and it was with another person in my boat.
