Just fished my first toury w/my 2 boys(5 & 7yrs). I can't express enough that I was very fortunate to be involved in a tournament that was ran so proffessionally, but yet extremely fun for all the kids/parents that participated. This not only had my kids talking all night but my 7yr. old took his trophy to school today- wow, what an impression. I'm just learning what this tournament series is all about but it's definately directed at getting young adults involved in fishing. I've been in a few nice tournament events and this was right up with the best, just on a smaller scale. All kids(72) received trophies, huge bag of lures, hats, shirts, each team received unbelievable gifts from nets to depth finders, rod/reel combos, electric anchors...etc all from the donating sponsors. Kids definately enjoyed that they were being filmed for an upcoming television special, heck, all the parents did too! Not to mention the free cookout afterwards. Just an incredible event Steve and Michelle put on. Look forward to future events!

come on Al, dont be so humble.....tell the folks that you also won this great event. :D
It really was a nice day for me and the youth that fished with me. A well run event and the prizes...WOW!....kids were getting DVD players, bikes, scooters....the list goes on and on.
Congrats Al, your kids looked to really be enjoying themselves..as did all the youth.
Congrats to all the sponsors and to Bob Kidd and family from Prairieland Eyes for running a quality event.

The AYA event is a great tournament for the family. I guided for the championships last year and look forward to guide again this year. See you on LOTW in August. Congragulations on your win!

I also fished the AYA. What an experience! Seeing all those kids catching fish, going on stage, being trailer to the stage! A very enjoyable experience. I strongly urge everyone to fish the AYA. Bill Guerrini did an outstanding job as the MC. Teams with no fish you didn't even know that. Bill asked them questions as to how they were fishing and where, completely removing the fact they did weigh any. All teams were very friendly on the water. Looking forward to next year already.

Hey Big Al, glad to hear you did so well! A day on the water with the kids is always a reward in itself, but the big win is the icing on the cake! Congrats!
