Boat set up

I have a 2000 crestliner cvx, just had a 2002 merc efi 150 rigged. The person I purchased the boat from said to rig the motor as high as possible. The motor is set at the highest hole.

Anybody here have this boat and motor. Could you please share you set up ideas. I have to wait another 2 months for ice out, I would like to get the proper setup.
