Pending closure to Bay of Quinte walleye fishery. My personal experience defies the current idea that the walleye population has dropped 90%. I am frustrated with the MNR. Is it possible their studies are highly flawed.(mark/recapture and creel census) I want opinions/studies/websites.

Targa2, I have been following your posts on www.quintefishing.com and must say that for the most part, I agree with you. I believe this possible closure is a knee-jerk reaction by individuals that 1) refuse to change fishing techniques and/or 2)should not be making fisheries decisions. I believe that there is a very healthy population of walleye and the only thing needed right now is to enforce the laws that are already in place and a reduction (not elimination) of the aboriginal rights. IMHO
