So who has a prediction on the winner of the PWT Cass Lake super-pro event starting next Tuesday? The logical choice is Mark Christianson since he guides on the lake practically every day. However, I am going to have to go with Perry Good one of Mark's teammates and one of the best live bait fisherman around.

Others?

Gofron or the one of Glorvigan bros

All good guess but I would have to put money that Doc Sampson wil be in the top 10 along with his computer.

I've picked them all season, and see no reason to change now...lol I'm sticking with one of "The Twins" to win! Go Scotty and Marty! :raisin:

Remember Mark Courts did well himself last time they were there.

What is the Running score for Angler of the year.

I'm going to pick Tom Backer in this one. I always hope for him, but try not to wear it out by picking him too often.

I know Tom has been putting a little extra time into this one, trying to move up into the top 10 in standings, to make that fall trip. Good Luck Tom.

So, I wonder what has happened to the price of redtails around Cass Lake lately....

I'll go with the Guide Mark Christianson or Todd Riley they both did really good last time.

Tuesday? Yes this is a tuesday/wednesday/thursday tourney because of other local commitments at Cass.

I'll pick a few anglers that are out of the AOY race and in a fight for their lives to get into the championship. They need a good showing at Cass. They are:

Daryl Christensen
Jim Carroll
Doc Sampson

interesting post by Keith Kavajecz relating to my picks:

I think I'll take Pete Harsh. He's a Minnesota boy that knows a thing or two about live bait rigging!

Decisions, decisions. I think Mark Christianson is an easy pick due to his knowledge of the system. I wouldn't be surprised if Mark Courts had a good finish. He has been having a good tournament year and it could carry over to Cass Lake.

Even though many people think that rig fishing will win the tournament, I have an odd feeling that contour trolling with leadcore will take home the prize.

This will be a bit different as fall is in the air. I go with a scary pick but......seelhoff. Yep, he understands this time of the year all to well, he is mr. september.

There is no contour in cass lake you are either in 8 ft. or 100ft. I think Daryl C. will shine with the spoon bite in this one.

Hey "What Contour,"

That is one of the funnier things I have read all day. You may be on to something though. Daryl Christensen can go pinpoint fish on all of the various points and humps with a Hopkin's Spoons. It could happen. Hopefully I get the chance to meet you on one of my trips to Cass Lake each year.

Another vote for Mark Christianson knowing it's tough to win at home. Too many spots to fish....

Fished FLW League in 2004 on Cass and came across a few nice trollable contour breaks. Day before the tournament had an 8, 5 and 3 before I could get out of there..... But of course tournament day comes along and we pull 8 short ones out of there in like 15 minutes, and thank the Lord, one keeper......

Fun lake for a 60 boat tournament.

Good luck to all the contestants! Hope the fish are biting and the weather cooperates.

could juls finally be right with her choice of the glorvigen twins to win an event? if you pick them enough and considering there are two of them, perhaps she will finally be right. hehe

LOL...I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

You are aware that Scotty is the only angler who has won a PWT Championship AND an FLW (then RCL) Championship, so he is no stranger to winning...

I really want to see Marty win this one! He is SOOOOO due.:)

Go Marty!:raisin: Go Marty!:raisin: Go Marty!:raisin:

I change my mind, I think Brad Davis with a three day total of about 38 pounds.
