AOY Standings

First off, congratulations to Brad Davis on a heck of a win! Here is a quick version of the final AOY standings for the Johnsonville Brats AOY race. I stripped out Bill Ortiz and John Kolinski who did not fish the Cass Lake tournament. Quite a year by Gary Parsons on the tour, fishing with extreme consistency. This is very tough to do given the quality of fisherman that he is up against at each tournament.

P.S. Gary, this is Jason Good wishing you a personal congratulations!

So, looking at AOY starting at 31st place, to see if they will still qualify for the championship through regionals.

31 Steve Bohn qualifies for Championship through regionals
32 Dave Van Oss qualifies through regionals
33 Seelhoff - Looks like Ron did not qualify
34 Scott G - did qualify through regionals.

Congrat's to Gary P - a deserving champion in every way. And to all the championship qualifiers.

Thanks to everyone here on Walleye Central. Jason, your dad told me at Cass that you were the guy putting up all of the points updates for the AOY standings. I want to personally thank you for that, as your hard work helped a bunch of guys know exactly where they stood on a timely basis. I only wished the PWT would have had you do it! I visited with Perry quite a bit at the Cass tournament. Heck, I thought that I had a big weight on the last day...it didn't even come close to your dad's! I miss those days when you and Chase would take on everybody in basketball while we were on the road. Those times were a blast.

This was a good year. Probably the best I ever had. When my brother Doug died in a logging accident last year I decided that I would carry a photo of him in my boat. He was my partner when I started this long ago...we finished in the top three in the country every year we fished together. The photo was wrapped in plastic so it wouldn't get wet, and he was holding a big walleye that we'd caught together in Sturgeon Bay. I didn't fish this year alone, although no one could accuse me of having too many people in the boat! I dedicated the year to my brother and brought home the toughest title in tournament fishing...to him. He was my inspiration...

I've got great equipment, great sponsors, a fantastic wife, the best traveling partners with my son Chase and Keith Kavajecz, and I give thanks every day that I can live the life I'm living. It's a dream come true. Thanks again everyone and may your "Next Bite" be a good one!

First Class all the way GP...From your fishing all the way to your "Thank You's".... You set a great example for others to follow and your on the water presence demands others to continue to improve. AOY only happens to the best and this year that was you. I don't think however it will be the last.
Congrats from Montana..RJ in Montana..
