Congratulations to all seventy-eight teams that fished in the MWS Ranger Boats tournament for over $11,000 in cash and prizes.
Sunday started with overcast skis with forecast of two to four foot waves on the Bay of Green Bay. There were a couple scattered light showers throughout the day. However by weigh in the sun was out. The entire Bay of Green Bay was open to fishing, Several teams set out to make long runs to get their fish and decided to fish closer to Green Bay. Sixty-six of the seventy-eight teams weighed fish. Thirty-two teams weighed a four fish limit. There were one hundred ninety-five fish weighed for a total weight of 807.76#.
The team of Mike Harrison and Tom Harrison took first place with a four fish limit weighing 26.64# winning them $3,600. The second place went to the team of Wayne Halla and Al Halla with four fish also totaling 26.40# for $2,000. Third place went to the team of Jim Leanna and Marv Mainville with four fish weighing 21.28# for $1,000. Fourth place went to the team of Dave Hackett and Joe Hackett with four fish weighing 19.06# for $8000. Fifth place went to the team of Joe Boehnlein and Kim Boehnlein with four fish totaling 18.94# for $500.
Butch Mac Donald and Travis Mac Donald had the big fish of the tournament weighing 11.24# winning them two plaques donated by All Sport and Trophy, $100 in Gift certificates from Mack’s Lures, a hand held GPS donated by Marine General, and some Ka Boom lures
The 2007 MWS Team of the year is Butch Mac Donald and Travis Mac Donald. Butch Mac Donald and Travis Mac Donald also won the 2007 Parent/Child Team of the year. The 2007 Husband/Wife Team of the year is Don and Christine Trester. The 2007 Sibling Team of the Year is Joe Hackett and Dave Hackett.
