What's up with the PWT Rookie of the year award. NO sponsor so no Rookie of the year this year?

Good question.
I know Dean Nathe was in contention if not leading going into Escanaba, and I thought I read a snippett in a press release that he did win it.

Chad Schilling was the rookie of the year in the PWT. Chad had a heck of a year, and should be recognized for it.
The PWT was recognizing it until Escanaba. I was leading it going into Mille Lacs, and Chad was leading going into Escanaba.
I believe Chad cashed checks in 3 of 4 tourneys.

Looks like Chad had fished two events as a pro in 2006. Does this still qualify him as a Rookie?

Yes, as long at he didn't fish the entire circuit. This was his first full year on the PWT

On the PWT website, under the Mercury Championship, Chad is recognized as the PWT Rookie of the Year.
