Snooping around the internet and couldn't find anything.

Did you here how the weather was,Sternberg told me it Rained all day in Long ville. He went to Walker to look around at Reed's and the power went off in the store. If that weather was at LOW it must of been a great day. NOT!
6 foot waves there and they don't call the tourney's only in the middle of the state they do that.

I fished it last year and ran to garden island both days, day two was very interesting. I would guess if conditions are to bad for the lake people would stay in the river?

That's like staying on the south end of the lake if the wind was blowing out of the south.

Can you say Minnesota Tournament Trail?

Diane @ MTT
09-27-2007, 08:58 AM
You are correct, those are the bodies of water we will once again be fishng.

We go where our Anglers like to fish. Our teams want the big water.
In addition to that, what some of you may not realize is, there are DNR permit issues as well.
The smaller bodies of water only allow so many events to be held per month.

The other thing taken into consideration is can the community handle a tournament circuit such as ours. We have to look at lodging and other services provided for us to run a tournament.
Also, some communities don't want tournaments. So, why go where we are not wanted.
We would rather go where we are welcomed!

The great thing about Minnesota...if you don't like our schedule, on any given weekend, you can find a tournament somewhere else.
We cannot, nor can any other circuit please everyone.

It seems to me, by our growth over the years...alot of Anglers like the schedule!
So, I guesss we are doing something right!

The MTT is always open to suggestions. Feel free to stop one of us Staff members at any event and let us know of your ideas. Also feel free to e-mail us or give us a call.

However, we will not take suggestions on an open forum such as this.
If you have a true concern about our circuit, please contact us...or at the very least...become a registered user here, and LOG IN BEFORE posting.

Thanks to all of our Anglers and Teams who have supported this season and in the past...it is "onward and upward" from here!

See you on "The Trail"-
Diane @ MTT

I have fished a few MTT's the last couple of years. I was a beginner tournament fisherman prior to entering the MTT's. The people that own and put on the events are all first class. I felt comfortable from the very first day. The tournament locations and flexible qualifications for number of tournaments fished were the main draw for me. One doesn't have to fish all of the tournaments to qualify for the championship. Just my thoughts on a well run circuit that almost anyone could feel comfortable fishing. Dan

Would just like to say a few things about the Minnesota Tournament Trail. First of all I have been fishing this circuit since it's start in 2002, I missed the 2005 season. It has been nothing but a positive experience. The entry fees are very resonable for the everyday/weekend angler who enjoys some competition from other super people and great anglers who really enjoy the same. The bodies of water fished are very diverse and great walleye waters that are some of the best the state has to offer. The great thing is that if you continue to fish these same waters each year, you get a better feel each time out and learn more every time out which makes for some great competition throughout the feild. The friends I've made in this circuit are some of my very best friends now, and some of the most unselfish people I know. I am proud to have been a part of the MTT and will continue to be as long as they have me.

Also, my partner & I only fished one tournament over the required minnimum to be automatically eligible for the Championship and still got 2nd Place Team of the Year. Proof that anybody has a shot at having an outstanding season with the required minnimum of events fished.
Mike & Renae run a top notch show!

MR Stay You sumed it up much better than I did. I also think you should be very nice to me as some of your winnings were donated by myself and my tournament partner:)

The Big Stone Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and the folks in Ortonville have always enjoyed having the MTT and their staff come to town. Mike & Renee and the team have always put on a first class operation! I do think sometimes the gale force winds follow Mike's grey trailer around but he cannot help that:) We look forward to seeing the MTT come back to Big Stone next year. If someone could have a little talk with Mother Nature before you get here, that would be appreciated!! THANKS MTT STAFF!!!!

I think mike and the whole crew run a good circut. although I'd like to see some change. I know lakes are limited that are able to be fished but the lakes that are able to be fished are some pretty dang good ones. Gull, cass, bemidji, osakis, otter tail, minnetonka, the river up by duluth, leech (not as of late, the st croix river and i'm sure there are several others. Thats just my thoughts.... Keep up the good work guys, I'll see you at mille lacs.

A fall tourney may tourney would be assume on Tonka Chris. They are just pounding them know. I'm sure the lake has turned over by now. and those fish will be safe again till their found. Ton's of little ones and lots of nice fish.

Leech the new hot lake this spring. Friends are just slamming fish there. 3-year old fish are already 17"ers just amazing. Big fish too.

I too have fished the circuit and the crew really does do a great job of running it smoothly. I don't think anyone is slamming the MTT. I just think people, me included, would like to see a change of scenery every now and then. The lakes Rippin_Eyes suggested are good suggestions. I have a hard time believing those communities wouldn't open their arms wide for this circuit like the Big Stone Chamber does. It's a growing circuit in terms of boats and teams and that's great to see. I just think some of us would like to see it grow toward other fisheries as well. Again - I don't think anyone is trying to put the MTT down. At least I'm not anyway.
