Is there going to be a contest this season for all the championships?

I think it will take 60lbs the first two days to make the cut. The winning Pro will have 75lbs on Sat./Sun with the co angler needing 39lbs on Sat for the win.

I don't have a clue if there will be or not. I alerted Scott to your post the other day, and heard nothing back. Heck, I don't even know if he made it back out of the mountains yet! Last I heard he was going to be back last Monday.

Then again, he might still be wading through a gazillion emails, and just hasn't gotten to that one yet. He gets hundreds a day and when he's gone on vacation, they just pile up to an enormous amount.

If I hear anything, one way or the other, I'll post it.

I'm back from the mountains without an elk.... sigh

I had my two brother in laws with me and they had black powder tags and we were into elk and they got to shoot a couple of times but everything ran away....weird huh.

I told them they were watching a miracle, dead elk running away from them LOL

Anyway, I'm archery so I didn't get to shoot so I went back up this weekend by myself and they were bugling but I had a rain out so I couldn't do anything except walk around and listen....can't follow a blood trail if it gets washed away.

But, drinking a cold beer in the middle of the mountains by yourself while elk are bugling in the background......it don't get much better that that in my book ;-)

It was a good hunt, they had shots and I passed up a nice cow to give them another shot so I had a shot opportunity (sorta)

We saw elk, they got to shoot at them, we had bulls bugling around us....we had a good hunt. Killing was a little off kilter though.

So...my archery season is over and now I'm waiting for private land cow tag that will be around the end of October or so (as soon as my buddy gives me the green light to go up there)

ANYWAY....now that I'm back and I DO have hundreds of emails and the Get Together is coming up so I'm swamped but let me see what I can put together for a "Guess the Weight" contest and I'll post as soon as I get it figured out and time to do so.

It's gonna be weird, there isn't a PWT Championship until next year so basically it's the MWC and the FLW...unless I'm missing something?

You could almost say it was "Golden"
