I know from experience that The FM Walleyes Club hosts two very good events one in the Spring and one in the Fall.A opportunity for us to
compete with savey locals and touring pro's. Congratulations to the top finishers and thanks Gary for reminding us of the club and this event. May I offer a constructive comment. This year, when we were checked by the patrol boat, my partner and I were informed of who was already in with a nice bag of fish. Personally, I don't think this is the information the patrol boat should be telling the contestants during the tournament hours. My two cents..worth. Thanks for a great event.
I appreciate the suggestion - it has merit and is taken to heart.
First thing that has to be said - congratulations Lamar and Ted for a first place finish. Lamar has made a habit of getting a check since I've been involved with the tourney's. He got a nice one on Saturday. This tourney is hard to win, the anglers we have in the FMWU tourneys are as good as any. Lamar is just one of our club members that have made a career out of walleye fishing, in many different capacities.
I can email the results as a pdf file to any that would like it. We do not do our own web hosting, so we are a little out of control on the timing to get the results on our web site.
This year, we have a ton of pictures. I'll probably find out if there is a limitation to the number of pictures I can put in my photo album here on Walleye Central. If there is not - I'll try to get them available within the next couple of days. I just had the CD's dropped off at work, and looked through a few of the pics. Matt took a couple hundred pics, and Auggie has another 70 of so that I haven't gotten yet. The photo's will be entertaining. With the fall colors the ones I looked at turned out well. We'll be creating a CD to loop prior to our club meetings, so that will be a good opporunity to see them as well.
Thanks to our sponsors as well. I'll get the pics up in time, but I've got to concentrate on the job thing for a bit too - it's a paycheck thing.

It appears that the 2007 Cormorant results were placed under the Pelican 2007 results link.
Phew, yes, they are. We'll send a message and try to get that corrected. Thx
Dan Leiwn.

Burr, a suggestion, I would like to direct to the Board of FM Walleyes Unlimited. I fish a number of tournaments in the area. One I have fished in the past, is the Long Lake Classic, Park Rapids, Minnesota. For several years, Gary Korsgaden, served as a emcee for this event. After we weighed our fish I sat back in the crowd,Gary interviewed a number of the contestants. I enjoyed his interviews on stage and so did a number of non fishing spectators in the audience. Gary knew the right questions, and had fun with a young married couple fishing the event. My partner and I really had fun waiting for the final results as he quizzed a number of the anglers on stage. It is just a suggestion to make the event more enjoyable for spectators and competitors alike. Thanks again to FM Walleyes for a great weekend.

Thank You,
The Cormorant Classic is tough and the anglers are some of the best around. It’s a great honor to place well at this event.
Thanks,
Lamarr and Ted
