Don't think the results are posted yet but it was won by Dean and Shelley Paslawski with a weight of 63.5 pounds, their biggest walleye which was also the biggest of the tournament was 15.55 lbs.
25th spot weight was 50.55 lbs.(heard this on radio). In this tournament fish between 55 and 70 cm (21 5/8 to 27.5 inches) cannot be weighed. A 70 cm fish in that system, on average weighs approx. 9 lbs. During the 2 days of the tournament there were over 400 walleye weighed that were over 70 cm. Each team can only weigh 2 big fish per day, I know of several teams that caught and released additional big fish so I would guess there were well over 500 70+ cm fish caught in 2 days.

Leechs on rigs with long snells seemed to be the most productive. On Saturday the whole system lit up. The first run just past the bridge all the way to the end of eagles nest was producing big fish.
Don't forget the new rules, barbless hooks and 55 to 85 cm must be released.

If 55cm to 85 cm have to go back, why could they weigh fish from 55-70 for the tournament?

Each day your allowed to weigh 3 under 55cm and 2 over 70 cm. The tournament is "Grandfathered" under the old 70cm rule.

Thank you for that. I know I'm not a math major but I was wondering how that worked. Thanks for the explanation. Sounds like a lot of BIG fish were caught.
