I wonder how many aluminum Lund Pro Team guys will find themselves in a the new Pro-V GL. The will ride better so why not switch. What are the tin boat dealers that sell Lund and Rangers going to do now. T-Mac???

TMac doesn't sell Rangers anymore. He sells Lunds and G-3's.
Congrats on your new deal Mr. Takasaki! Best wishes for a successful season next year!
Happy Holidays to your and yours...:)

K Gonefishin:
The aluminum Pro-V guys are pretty content.
Ya know....Lund's big guys could have been running glass .....for somebody.... for years if they wanted glass. (there's a lot of legendary names there, after all).
Marty is talking about doing a glass Lund.
Brumbaugh is going glass Lund (He intended to do it from the time he started w/ Lund)
Everybody else is staying in aluminum, so far as I know.
A few well known names who were running various other brands have approached Lund & are talking about maybe doing something in a Lund....either glass or aluminum.
Who knows..hey?

Thanks, Juls.
True.
We just haven't been able to do all that much business selling glass fishing rigs. We sold Rangers for 9 years...just not enough to make them pay. (For us or Ranger).
So something had to give... because we sure don't need two glass fishing boat lines.
Just a business decsion.
No hard feelings involved.
We'll still be taking care of warranty work on Rangers if our customers need it.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the posts on this thread and I start with Lund officially on January 1st, 2008. Although it was an extremely difficult decision for me due to my friends at Ranger, I am very excited about the opportunity to assist Lund in the launch of their new line of fiberglass boats. Minnesota company, great boats, good people and ground floor opportunity all went into my decision.
Thanks again and happy holidays!

Does that mean you'll be fishing the PWT?
Having been fortunate enough to spend time pre-fishing & even drawing Ted in some past tournaments, I feel Lund has made a great decision to have him on board. Ted will be a great addition. Good luck this year.
Hope to see you at the boat shows & maybe you'll even give me a ride in the new boat this summer.

Yea I was drawn as an AM with Ted once. It was awful. I had to keep reeling in these great big fish all day. Then I had to drive his boat while we were idling in so he could use his balance beam & then release 9.5 lb fish. Then when we went on stage everybody made a big deal cause our 5 fish weighed 53.20 lb. I don't what the big deal was. ................It was April 19, 2003 & I remember every detail of the day. What a rush it was. Good luck with the new Lund Ted.

Congrats Ted,
I am in a 1900 PRO-V and will be looking at new rigs. When will these new glass boats be available to purchase? Thanks and good luck.

Ted,
Just wondering how this plays out with fishing the FLW and not qualifying for the contingency money available! Not asking for outright details just interested in how this works as it had to be a consideration when making the switch as it has the potential to be a large sum of money! Good luck in your 2008 season!

I am very excited to be a part of one of the biggest new product introductions in the marine industry in many years! My understanding is that both boats 186 and 208 will be at the Minneapolis Boat Show. 186's at most of the other boat shows.
I am not quite sure which circuit i will fish in 2008 yet. Contingencies are nice, but not the whole reason to fish any one particular circuit. I haven't seen any applications for either circuit as of yet.
Thank you very much for the kind words and encouragement.

As usual, Ted you are a class act and one of the best examples of the tournament fisherman. I've had the pleasure of sitting in on your seminars at the Bass Pro Shop in Gurnee and the honesty and professionalism that you bring to the sport is second to none. Good luck to you with the new boats and wish you a successful fishing season and most of all, blessings to you and your family.

Gosh...Thank you very very much for the compliments. All I try to do at seminars and in the articles that are published is to help as many anglers to catch as many fish as they possibly can.
I am very thankful for the opportunities that have been presented to me. And I am very thankful for the anglers and fans who come to my seminars and watch the tv shows that I am on. It is through hard work and some luck that I am able to enjoy my time on the water.
Sincerely,
Ted

Ted,
I too attended one of your seminars at Gander Mt. in Wausua, WI last spring. You are a class act and a great speaker. I also learned a tip from you that has helped me out fish my buddies on the river systems. The tip... nearly all walleyes in a river system are within 1 foot of the bottom. Believe me guys he's right.
Good luck on the upcoming season Ted. Congrats on the switch to Lund.
