Last year we had around 135 fishing all 4 FLW Tour events. How many do you think will be fishing all four this year?
Based on the economy, the price of fuel, tournament expenses and guys/gals I've talked with I'm thinking right around 120. I can't see that the number will go up from last year.
That sounds about right to me too.

I'd say it will rise - logistically impossible to be 150, but will probably be 146 or so.

It's is all relative to the other circuit. Who knows there might be a wait list.
Yeah, you're probably right. I was thinking how many would be just Ranger Boat owners, and I realize now that that wasn't the question. My Bad. :)

My guess and it is ONLY a guess would be, 115-125 Ranger Boat owners, 5-8 G-3 Boat owners, 5 non-Ranger/G-3 boat owners who fished the entire FLW last year and about 50-60 non-Ranger/G-3 boat owners that will be vying for the remaining 10-15 spots open for 1-4 tournaments. Again that is only an uneducated guess on my part.
Based on the calls and comments that I have received personally, it would appear to me that some of the 2007 FLW Walleye Tour anglers who were going to cut back and fish only 1-2 FLW Walleye Tour events in 2008 are now considering doing all 4 tour events in order not to lose their top seeded spots. A number of FLW Walleye Tour anglers who competed in 1-3 tournaments last year are now looking at doing the entire circuit for 2008. There is also some interest from anglers who fished the FLW Walleye League circuit in 2007 that are now looking to move up to do at least a few of the FLW Walleye Tour events for 2008. Every year there is a natural attrition of anglers doing any circuit. That fact in itself will open the window of opportunity for new anglers wishing to test their skills. 2008 will be no different in that respect.
The rumored, possible uncertain status of several Midwest walleye circuits may also increase participant interest in the FLW Walleye League and Tour circuits in 2008. In my opinion, that questionable variable can not be accurately estimated by anyone at this time. It would be my personal wish to see, (and in the best interests I think of all of us) that our existing walleye circuits remain strong with full fields for 2008. Let's hope for the best.

I think all 150 will fish them all to start the season, with some dropping out thoughout the season

I think there will be a severe dropoff in the numbers this year. We'll still get our 150 but I suspect there will be about 120-130 fishing all four.
I don't believe that the PWT is near dead and that they will still have a great circuit like they've had for many seasons.
