Scroll down to the payout info.
I think there is still one more item they need to get online yet. The rules are up, but the actual brochure, like they normally have there, is not up yet.
I would expect that to go up as soon as it is finished at the printers and gets physically mailed out to FLW members.

Hey Juls, in the first link to the brochure they show the championship in Cleveland ??? just something I noticed.

Did you also notice the dates that the press releases were written?
The one showing the payouts was written before they changed the location of the championship to Bismarck.
So, until they get the actual brochure online with the payouts listed there, I have to use the old press release link for that info.
Cleveland is a "no-go".

Old news. That info came out in the November 1st press release with the 2008 schedule.
It's not the base payouts that have gone down, it's the contigency money that has.
It's still remains 60k to win, or up to 100k to win (w/contingencies).

I like the idea they are going back to Cleveland in the fall. I missed the chance to fish there last year.
Heard rumor the payout is also lower this year, is that true?

The Championship will be in Bismarck, ND this year...not Cleveland.
The base payouts are the same, but the contingency money has be reduced...that was news back in November.
Please read the entire thread for the information, or go to the FLW Outdoors site at http://www.flwoutdoors.com and click on the Walleye Tour tab at the top of the homepage.

I just don't see the justifacation for Ranger to reduce contingent money. The raised the prices of their boats this year! This game is getting harder and harder to play. I guess you have to be wealthy to play. Sorry just venting!

Yes payouts went down for the majority of spots on contingency money....however, no one mentioned the fact theat you now only need a 2004 or newer boat to qualify at Tour level for contingencies (Ranger). This is in the pamplets sent out.
This is an improvement from last year where it was 2006 or newer. To me, this is more important than 500-1000 extra in contingency monet. If it sticks for next year, those of us who can't/don't buy a new boat every year will be alot better off than getting an extra few hundred bucks in contingencies this year.
Now Evinrude needs to step up and relax the age qualifiers on their motors (like Yamaha).
