I'm considering putting a MotorGuide - 60 inch shaft - 82# bowmount 24 volt - Gator 2 Big water mount on a new 2050 Skeeter. This is the unit that can connect to Pinpoint graphs. Does anyone have a report on this unit as far as failures, likes and dislikes about it before I stick my neck out on this one???????? Here's what I do like about from what I have read.

1. Has 7520 & 7420 connectivity.

2. Unlike a cable drive, it would be easier to use because of the cable pressure on the foot control.

Thanks for any input

I have an Excel 50" shaft 82 lb thrust. The only thing I don't like is the interference I get on my Pinpoint from the motor running.

What model of Pinpoint graph are you running - 7520 - 7420 etc??????????

Can you identify when the interfernce occurs???????\

Thanks

Running it with a 7420. Everything is hooked up by the book. The interference occurs when the motor is running. It will cost me around $100 to ship it to the closest "dealer" for warranty work, with no guarantee that it will be fixed. The factory won't do warrenty work. I can't afford to dump more money in the bow. I still like the way the motor works and will just "deal" with it.

If you're using PinPoint graphs, I'd seriously consider the 3700 or 3900 PinPoint motors. You'll think you've died and went to "trolling motor heaven".
