Has the entry fee for the NTC changed this year? I have heard that it went up to $300.

There is no entry fee to the N.T.C. N.T.C.does require a deposit from the teams that received invitations. That deposit is refunded at the end of the tournament.

I am aware that they refund the $ once you show up for the tourney. Let me rephrase my question: Has the "deposit" for the NTC gone up this year to $300??

We did increase the entry fees for this year’s championship from $200 to $300 per team. We also reconfigured the prize structure a little bit and that will be posted on the NTC website as well in rules book and contestant information. Total purse with cash and gift cards is still $131,000 plus two Ranger Boats with Yamaha outboards. If you add the entire prize structure together we are well over $200,000 in value and this doesn't include the production of the tournament.

Please if anyone has any questions or concerns regarding the increase in entry fee please feel free to contact me anytime.

That is pretty impressive! I did some simple math and 250 teams x $300 per team is only $75,000 and your total prize package is $200,000. That is over 250% PAYBACK! I can't wait!!!!

Matt, thanks for the response. Is the $300 still paid to each team that shows up for the tournament?

Bump...So which is it? An entry fee or a refunded deposit? Just curious.

And then if everyone gets their $300 back it would be a free NTC and how would you figure the % payback - something like Gatrilion% payback?

You always got your entry fee back. If you stayed for the awards presentation at the end. Been that way the last 6 years.

I get th efeeling from Matts post that we may be getting Cabelas gift cards. He mentioned that as part of the prize package. I guess it would still be a good deal. I won't have any problem spending that!

That would be fine with me also.
