Who is the best seminar speaker in the walleye world? (informative, personable, etc.)
Wow, it's really hard to pick one. We've had many good ones over the years.
3 that come to mind that really taught some things, to a fairly 'advanced' audience, are Gary Parsons (lead core), Chris Tuckner and James Holz (River fishing - they spoke as a team), and the speaker we had last month, Nick Johnson (plastics, presentation). These guys all pay attention to details many of us do not even notice, and teach it well.
For a voice that through pure enjoyment you could listen to all night long - Tony Dean and Ron Schara are a couple. These two are professional in a league all their own when it comes to speaking ability with outdoors topics. They can ease into a story, and everyone in the audience will hang on their every last word. Of course Raven is an all star attraction.
For very good entertainment, with a great fishing education at the same time, nothing beats a duo of speakers. Tom Backer / Dave Randash will have everyone doing a belly roll laugh by the end of the night (Tom will have a new one, as he hook into a submarine last week - that's gonna be a story!), and Scott and Marty Glorvigen are similar pranksters. We had a special treat a couple months ago when Ron Seelhoff had such a bad cold he got Tom and Dave up on stage to help with his presentation. They play off each other well.
If you can appreciate the fact your listening to a true legend, that you just know you will remember the rest of your life - just because of who they are - well.... #1 Bob Probst Sr., Close on his heels are Gary Roach, and Al Linder. Although, Al can probably only be gotten through Club Crashers.
Someone who will inspire the audience, and speak their mind, with true feeling, point of view, their heart and passion - Babe Winkleman.
My personal all time favorite, even more than Gary Parsons, is Pete Harsh. Even if his arms are getting shorter every year.
I can't wait until next month, when we have our 10 year anniversary of our Anglers Night program, with the same speaker that started it with us all those years ago - Ted Takasaki.
A couple I have never seen, but I would jump at the chance to book them (I am trying) - and these may be a little off the wall from what you'd expect - Kent Hrbec and Kevin Van Dam. I might even put Zona on this list - he's a good ol Minnesota boy.
There are so many more I haven't mentioned, that I probably just have not thought of at the moment. Keith K was very good, you've missed the opportunity we had years ago with the late Gary Gray - he will always be a winner - for eternity.
There are so many more that I really should have mentioned, and I know after I think about it for a while, I'm going to wish I had mentioned. Mark Martin I anticipate would be very good, we just could not get over the travel fees to make it work to have him.

#1 & #2 on my list would have to be Al Lindner and Babe Winkelman.
I have seen many other great seminars and they would include the following names: Matt Straw, Gord Pyzer, Parsons, Kavajecz, Glorvigans, Skarlis, Chip Leer, Fairbairn, Probst Sr.,Tony Dean, James Holst, Dave Genz, Backer & Randash.
Some speakers provided great information and made you think about fishing from a new perpective and others were just plain good entertainment (storey tellers).

Babe Winkelman and Ted Takasaki are up there for me. They are both pretty entertaining. Jason Prezkraut too, he will teach you things about jig fishing that most would not even think of. Espically if it is in the wood.

Our club has had Tommy Skarlis and Johnnie Candle in the past, you won't go wrong with either of them.
Tom Keenan is also fantastic, just make sure you can keep up with him!
And, of course, Rick and Juls were awesome, still chuckle when I think about it!

I'd say Tommy Skarlis takes the lead... in my book, anyway.
