My map shows 70ft at the railroad bridge near Mobridge is this accurate or is the water still way down? Ive heard its down 40ft.I'm fishing the Cabelas NTWC in June and could use some tips and tricks for this huge body of water. If its down 40ft I assume you cant get to some areas.Any information you guys an Gals can throw my way would be greatly appreciated,if you ever fish Big Stone I'll surely share what I know.
Thanks in advance

It is down roughly 40 ft. I would say that there are very few places that you can't get to but I mainly fish more south, past the 212 bridge. Near Mobridge I would say there are places you can't get into. You guys should have an awesome time, fish how you like to. Cranks, rigging and jigging should all work, the key will be to find fish on both sides of the river because of the wind. It probably won't blow the same direction the whole time.

Lot's of snow in the mountains this year, could bring the levels up some.
This is what you need to watch.

Get a map that has elevations and you can see where the water level is at compared to your map
This system fluctuates year around, so no given on water levels until it's maxed out.

If you want the best maps for Oahe look at the Warren Parsons samples on his website. http://www.accuemap.com/ He uses completely different data for his maps. The samples he has under Oahe are Indian Creek which is south of Mobridge. Click on each map to zoom in. He has maps like these for all of Oahe.
