Here is my post from a couple of other forums:

Well here it is!!! We our happy to be able to post the entry form for this years walleye tournaments at Harlan County Reservoir. Both the Harlan Anglers and Nebraska Governor's Cup have teamed up to tie the two tournaments together and form the "2008 Harlan Reservoir Walleye Grand Champion". Each tournament will still be run individually and the top teams in the overall points for the two tournaments will be awarded additional cash prizes. Each team must be composed of the same two members to be elegible for the Grand Champion prizes.

Please contact me if you have any questions. Look forward to seeing everyone at Harlan Reservoir this year for some great walleye action!!

I have the entry form here but don't know how to get it posted as a link. Please let me know if you would like an entry form.

Thanks D.K.!!!

Hope to see a great crowd there this year. The water is up and the fishning should be great.

I would have thought you guys might have learned something from the Nebraska Walleye Trail dropping you out of their circuit because of your dates. I think this is a great idea and would love to fish this format, but have prior obligations: CABELAS NATIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP. You will have somewhere from 20-25 teams heading to Mobridge to pre-fish again this year. Is it really that big of a deal to move the dates from June to May or July? I was gone last year to Green Bay and had to miss both tournaments and I don't think it was fair to anyone who had qualified for Green Bay and was trying to fish the state trail. Instead of fishing 6 tournaments and taking your best 4 finishes, some of us only got to fish 4 tournaments. I hope everything goes well, but have my doubts.

You may be right, but I know for a fact that we already have more entries received than what the NWT is posting on their website.

It is just a great tourney to fish and has a lot oftradition behind it. I believe the Nebraska governors cup is the first and longest running walleye tournament in Nebraska. They always get way over a 100 teams . The tourney is always on the same weekend. Not every body in Nebraska is wanting to go to the ntc .I fish it if I can get away . I think it the best one out of the bunch. You can not ask for nicer people there . They bend over backward trying to help you

D.K.

For the record the Harlan Tournaments were not dropped from the NWT by the NWT, the Harlan tournaments chose not to be a part of the NWT due to other reasons. Also, when Cabela's doesn't release where and when the NTWC is going to be held each year early, it makes it awfully hard to set any tournament dates. Unfortunately, the NTWC has conflicted with the Harlan Tournaments over the years. Maybe it will conflict with the SHUT UP AND FISH tourney some year, then what?

We would love to have no conflicts with the Harlan Tournaments but as they saying goes, "You can't please everyone". Hope to see everyone on the water at Harlan this year. Good fishing.

I have heard that registration is going well for these two tournaments and over 25 teams have already registered for the June tourneys. May not want to wait if you would like to an early flight number.

No, not at this time. That is something that has been discussed for the future plans. The teams that have entered are going to be listed on, "fishermanscornerharlan.com" in the very near future so keep checking that site for entry information.
