View Full Version : Quantum Energy spinning reels
Looking to add another Quantum Energy E5-2 spinning reel to my arsenal. Had 3 but lost one last week. The problem is I was told that they have recently been discontinued and I cannot find any at my usual tackle stores. Cabelas & Basspro do not carry them anymore either. The Zebco website wasn't much help either. I really like the reels and would appreciate any ideas/contacts on where I might find one?

You might try the Walmart stores in your area. They have been closing them out for 49.00 in my area (IN). You might find them there. Good luck.

Check Ebay, they have hundreds of reels for sale in their auctions, you may find a great deal on one there.

Same story - I have 4 or the older E5-e4- etc.
The new Quantum Fire series is almost identical - haven't tore one apart yet to see the inside. 5 bearings - spools are different and won't interchange - but sure look and feel the same.
Actuall the new spoll seems better...
Havn't seen them in any catalogs - picked up 2 at Clev. show in March - best thing $35.00 ea. with a spare plastic spool.
