Is anyone fishing the MTT's in Red Wing this weekend? How many boats do they have registered?

Anybody looking to fish a well organized, well run tournament should try the MTT. Mike, Renee and their staff have run a 1st class tournament circuit for many years! Keep up the good work!

Hey guys-
Diane with MTT here.
Thanks for the support, we are looking forward to a great start to the 2008 season!

We look forward to seeing our past teams once again, and meeting new ones as well.
~Gasmann MTT-
I was just curius as to what you would like to see updated on the website more often?
The results and standings are done each week, normally by Wednesday for events the prior weekend.
Our schedules are posted as tentative on late September/early October. They are then confirmed when we receive the permits from the MN DNR.

Pictures are posted within a week after an event.
So, could you please help me out and let me know where we can improve the updating?

This is how we all improve, is by feedback from our Anglers.
I am open to suggestions on what needs to be updated more often.
Feel free to e-mail me with concerens whenever on arises.

Looking forward to this weekend.
We do still have some spots open!
See you on "The Trail"-

It would be nice to see a little write up after each event that talks about what the top 3 teams did to catch their fish. The fun part of following tournaments is not only see the results but hearing the story behind the results. I realize this takes a little bit of work to write up but it doesn't have to be anything fancy. Even several bullet points that say for example "Joe Blow caught his fish trolling leadcore with shad baits in 18 feet of water near Bill's point." The anglers don't have to spill their guts but at least provide some information to walleye fans and fellow competitors that didn't find the winning pattern. This would provide more traffic to your website by people wanting to read about the tournaments.

Just my .02.

If you subscribe to Midwest Outdoors, you will get all that information and more. They do a great job of covering the MTT and their results. And yes, fantastic tournament trail with great people running it, and great people fishing it!!

Thanks for the input.
We do realize anglers want to know what has worked to place well in an event, and to just catch fish. We do put our time in, and do the work of writing an article after each event.
As Jason said, all of our events are written up in Midwest Outdoors.

If you are a member of MTT, you get a subscription as part of your membership.
The top 3 - 4 teams and Big Fish winners will be interviewed for the article pertaining to that event. As well as have their picture included with the article.

So, if you are not a member of the MTT, you may want to subscribe to Midwest Outdoors to get the info on the winning patterns. We do have a link to them on our website, if you need information on how to subscribe.

We look forward to seeing all our returning Teams, as well as meeting the new ones. We are continuing to grow each and every season!

~Jason-

The first flight will need to be in by 3:00PM, the second will be in by 3:30PM.
This is for both days.

We are "usually" done weighing fish by 4:00PM.
Our presentation is normally around 4:30PM (4:45PM). Never before 4:30, we want our teams to get loaded up and all buttoned down before we do the presentation.

Hope to see you at the weigh-in!

Hey Diane, leave the wind home before you come to Big Stone this year:) It always seems like you and Mike bring the 30+ mph winds with you when you come:)

this is my 1st year fishing the MTT. I just noticed on your webpage the last update was Dec. 14. I'm pummped up to fish the MTT this year and was looking fore some more details. This sounds like a well organized tournament series. Think it will be fun.

~Gasman MTT~
I have been updating the webpage quite regularly. I just updated it on April 17.
Here is what I think is happening: You must be accessing the website by using your "favorites".
For some reason when accessing by your "favorites", the changes are not always updated.
I have had this same question/problem from others as well.
So, once in awhile enter the web address and it should update for you.

Once again, if you have any questions, please e-mail me. I am more than happy to help with anything.
