Anyone out there have anything positive or negative to say about these??? Not looking to beat them up!!! Especially any insight on how they work when there wet and the air temp is below freezing. Also, I take it they bolt to your trailor??? Thanks in advance. Hutch

I have a set of boat buckles on my trailer and think they are great. Easy on, easy off and never have to worry about losing them. What a great idea. I have had no problems when they were wet. I have never used them when it was freezing out so I can`t offer anything on that. They came with my Easyloader trailer but the ones that are available for purchase do indeed bolt on. Buy a set. You won`t regret it. Good luck with your purchase.

I put a set on my trailer about 3 years ago. Best money I ever invested.I've never used them when they were frozen, but other wise they work great. Very user friendly.

I'll echo the previous comments. I previously have had a lot of problems with various types of tie down straps never staying tight. 2 years ago I installed a set of boat Buckles and have not had a problem since. I will never be without them again.

Hutch,
I can't give you first hand experience but I can tell you that when I was up at Red Wing I saw someone who had them and the straps would not retract. I assumed it was because it was a modest 5 below zero.

I put them on my Prestige trailer, last summer. The best $70 or so I've ever spent. Haven't used them in freezing weather, yet? I had to customize the bracket, as they do have to be bolted on. Gregory

OK, I give up. What exactly are boat buckles? Any idea where I can see them online?

My buddy got them with a used aluminum boat that he bought. I did manage to screw them up the first time I used them. I don't remember what happened but I never had any trouble with them again.

I put them on my trailer for my Skeeter 2050. Now when it's time to launch I'm ready in 30 seconds flat!
Will put them on the next boat as well.

I've used the buckle for a couple years now. No problems, they work great. I bought my father in law a set last year for his boat, he couldn't figure out why he didn't have these on years ago!
They do tend to get clogged up with dirt & dust, especially running down gravel roads, just take the hose to them once in a while.

Take care,

Brad
