Does anyone know when the red door walleye tourney on Mille Lacs is this year? In the past it was the weekend after the forth of July but with the forth on a Friday I’m thinking they will push it back a week. I also can’t remember the entry fee. They changed it recently and I don’t remember.

I believe it is July 12 & 13. (unconfirmed). The only issue will be that the DNR is only allowing a 4 fish limit per day in tournaments now. I would guess it will be like Hunters and go to two one day events so that anglers can try to weigh at least 6 or 7.

I stopped by the Red Door Resort this weekend. I found out some info on the tourney from the sing up forms. It is July 12th and 13th. The entry fee is $300 per boat. 8 fish per team per day. Slot is 14” to 18” one over 28”. It will be run similar to the Hunters tourney with pay outs each day. This is some of the basic info. Hope to see you guys there even if fishing isn’t so hot.

So can you you get in for a $150 a day? Or do you commit to both days with $300 and just fish 2, 1 day tournaments?

I believe you pay 300 and fish both days you cannot just pay for one day. I am not 100% though. You could call the resort and ask to be sure.
