I hope this is the right thread for this if not I will repost on general discussion. Okay here it goes. I have a CD5 wally diver that I am not sure of the name or part number on it or even where I can get it. I bought it at my local Fleet Farm and they have never gotten them back in. Here is a description of it. I call it clown because it looks like the Rapala clown pattern. It has a chrome red head with a chartruese back and white belly with chrome silver sides. I need to know the number for this so my local bait shop can try to order it. Or if any of you know where I can get several of these. Please I need your help!

Thanks Jon

Crestliner:

Try this, it may help.

Go to http://www.lurenet.com/

Click on Cotton Cordell logo at top of page

Click on Wally Diver and then click on CD5 Wally Diver. The page you then see shows different models of the CD5 wally diver. You can click on each picture to get a slightly larger view.

Select the one that might resemble the one you want and put a 1 in the order quantity box and click "add to cart"

I believe the cataloge number shows up product

Good luck. Jay

Yes I have tried both Bass Pro and Cabelas and they only carry 6 colors of the wally diver. These things seem to be as elusive as walleyes themselves, no wonder they work.

I have been there also. They also dont show all the colors made. I have seen purples and different blues along with all white, and I have seen rainbow trout patterns and many more but I just cant find anybody that has a complete list of all colors made. I think lurenet show about 12-18 colors and I have seen 25+ colors in places so I know they are out there somwhere.

Hi,
Heres the deal .Call Pradco at 501-782-8971.I'm sure that they will tell you that it is a special color. However if they have any in the Warehouse you can order them but you have to buy at least 6.They can tell you the phone numbers of Distributers that have ordered that lure in that color.

Ilooked it up in the 2002 Pradco catalog. Not there. In the Wiggle 'O' they have a clown and the # for that is 264. It must have been a custom color. Franks bait and tackle in Linwood carries a lot of custom baits. Try them.

Okay here is the deal. I e mailed Juls and she also said that they are not listed in the catalog. I know they are not discontinued colors because my local tackle shop just got some of the colors back in on Friday. After reading her e mail and chairmans post my guess is they are custom colors ordered for this area. I will be calling Pradco to find out the scoop on this wild goose chase. Thank you all for your comments and help.

Try Scheels Sports, they have the widest selection of colors of anyplace I have seen, if I can't find the color I want locally, I go to Scheels in Sioux Falls, SD and they usually have it. I'm sorry I don't have a phone number handy for you.

Crestliner.
Heres an answer that I hope didn't happen. I had a Wally Diver that was killing the walleyes at a certain discharge on Saginaw Bay. I ran around trying to duplicate it before I lost it. Seems it was a (Second). Yup, a Reject that the auto-painter or distracted employee goofed up. I belive some companies will just box em up and ship em anyway they come out. But as the Chairman also said, it just may be a special color ordered by your local store. Hope thats the case.

I have a few of those and will repost the number. However,I can tell you that they will be found,at this time ,ONLY at Mill,s Fleet/Farm.They are, along with other F/F baits, special order and not inventoried by Pradco.Pradco will have no knowledge of the baits.I know this as I have been down this road.I also heard Pradco has changed hands and the new owners will no longer accept special orders.I hope it's not true.Better get'em while you can.

Well here is the latest news I know on this topic. I live In Appleton Wi, and I have a brother-in-law that lives in Oshkosh Wi. I spoke to him on Sunday and told him what I was going through. He ran around Oshkosh for me on Sunday and found this clown patteren I have been looking for at the Oshkosh Mills Fleet Farm. I never bothered to check there myself because Appletons Fleet Farm sold out of them in two days, so I figured the same there. Well I was wrong. I had to work in Oshkosh on Monday so I went there and found that they indeed had them, 16 of them. I bought 10 of them. They also had the CD5104 glory green that I have been looking for also. I picked up 10 of them also. I never did get a chance to call Pradco but I talked to a tackle shop owner and what he told me was this. Wally Divers come in like 18 or so standard colors and custom colors can be ordered, however they will not appear in catalogs. CD5104 glory green is a standard wally diver color therefore they can be found in a number of places. Fleet Farm has a large selection of cd5 wally divers, my guess is 25-35 colors. Many of these are custom only to be found at Fleet farm, for example CD5289- clown, CD5253 Met. green/black spec (like the #122 Deep Jr. T-stick), CD5291 rainbow trout, CD5290 Blue/chrome/orange belly, and many more. Other colors like CD5299 purple demon(yes looks like deep little ripper), CD5297 cheap sunglasses or motoroil(I have heard it called both), CD5296 easter egg and I think CD50108 pearl white along with 15-20 other colors can only be found at this guys tackle store. There are a lot of awsome colors out there and I hope Pradco keeps allowing custom colors to be made. It has been a long drawn out hunt for some of these lures so I hope I now have enough and dont loose any incase I cant get them anymore.

Thanks for everyones help and suggestions

Jon

GWH,a special order to PRADCO consists of ordering 600 baits of one part number.I'll take one hundred! You can have the rest! The clown #289 that Crestliner refers to is similar to the #232 except the top is chartreuse;nothing a magic marker can't fix.

I got a Gander Mountain Manager checking on those for me. He can spread them through several stores to sell them. Is there a color chart anywhere fo Wally Divers ????

Tim Hughes can paint any color / pattern of Wally Diver you want for $10 if you supply the lure. He was featured in Field & Stream months ago. I sent him a couple of mylures to paint and he did a terrific job. I got some of my 1/4 oz WDs painted into a crawfish pattern. I can't wait to try them out this season. You can do a google.com search to find his web site or e-mail me privately and I'll send it to you.
