Anyone have a great design/plans on how to build a fish cradle. I can't spend the $ they want for them a retail, plus I have alot of broken hockey sticks to use up.
I would welcome any designs. Thanks

Saw an article not long ago about using thick plastic sheeting instead of the netting material for a cradle. It is supposed to be better for the fish, less likely to get a hook snagged in it, and works just as well. Might want to give that a try. As for plans, they really are not that complex as to require much of a design.

Here in PA. I've been able to buy a minnow seine,a 4 x 4 size net,and took 2 1x1 pieces of wood, and attached the net to the wood handles. I used wire ties to secure the net,and also a piece of Fire Line,80# test too.Wrap it through, over and over, and it will hold anything...including the fish of a lifetime.I don't use the entire 4ft of net,I wrap it on the handles,to a nice 2 1/2 ft size. It's only 48",you know 4 ft,but it save's a few buck's. Let me know,if you want one,I'll put one together for cost. The net is $5.
