Erie Addict.. their website isn't real user friendly. If you have trouble locating the color chart I have 2 pages of the origional colors (but not the new glows)scanned from their catalog where I can send it to you email. If you figure the colors you want you can order direct or Dicks Sporting goods handles them, you may be able to order off their website. Let me know if you want the color charts sent that I have.

I don't know if your in a hurry but Dick's usually has them on sale in the early spring. I've also seen them on sale at the winter fishing shows. They usually have the popular colors. That's when I load up.

Greg(Trapper?), Mine are pink/purple, pink/purple and pink/purple.

If you can read between the lines you can tell which one worked best for me last year.

have you guys tried the new deep divers yet or the glow colors ?
which size are you using, the small or the 5 inch ?

I did real good last year with the 5 inch in pink/purple and firetigre

I'm running the 5". I've had my best bite on the origional shallow runners and colors.

Gilligan

I bought a couple of their deep divers in purple color for next year
then I find out everyone says the same thing the regular 5" shallow works the best

I will give the deep divers a try and see what happens

have you tried or had any success on erie with the reef runners or the wally divers ?

Ditto to Gilligan on the deep Renosky's. The Deep divers haven't impressed me yet but then maybe I haven't given them my best shot either. Reef runners/Thundersticks and other big billed divers work great with the edge going to Reefrunners. The hardest part is figuring out which color they want and how fast.

Wally divers are hit or miss, same goes for most of the mid size deep divers but then again there are those days when they shine.

I run some Reef Runners. The best producers for me have been the deep lil rippers in purple demon and trailer trash colors.

I know everyone here that has used the Renosky's Deep diver, may have experienced the same thing I did at first. No Fish, but then I realized that the depth i was seen fish at, and trying to target, ended up being my mistake. I have found, that most people fishing these lures, have been fishing under the fish, therefore, taking themself out of the fish zone. These lure get down in a hurry, and I only did a minor depth study of them.

At Lake Erie this past spring, I, and 3 other guys, were tuned into the fish with the deep divers. When everone else was running 40-50ft back with Huskey Jerk deep divers, and baits of the same nature, we were only setting them back 20-30ft. I know they work well, cause I took 3rd place on erie with them. By the way, my best color also was , Pink/purple, and the blue/white/orange belly.

Hope this helps, try a little less line out than what you think,

Just for everyones info, Renosky Lure's will be comming out with a flyer, showing sizes, and colors, so everyone will have a chart to order of from. I would call, ask for Joe, or Denise, and ask them when this chart will be available, and at the same time, ask them to send one to you, Their # is: 1-800-342-2803

Good fishing to All,
Happy Holidays,

Early in the AM before the light gets up those Fireglows are pretty effective.I just take the box and set a spotting light on it to charge them up while I get the boat ready.Got 3 or 4 fish almost every morning this fall off the bottom in 30 feet of water pulling them on leadcore.I'd pay more for them if they would put a better hook on them. Maybe you could twist their arm a little Gary?

I will pass that onto Joe, he is always open for suggestions. I have changed most of my hooks also, and when I do, I usually go to a lighter wire type hook. This allows me to go biggger without disturbing the lure action.

Thanks for the heads up,
Gary Gray

There right, us erie guys pull everything to deep. My nephew pounded walleye at the departure bouy, on the deep divers. 15-30 foot off the boards. I have been doing well off Dunkirk running these up high. But you can't beat the 5" sticks on our end of the lake.
Targa2
Keith Kavajz showed me Mustad Triple Grip hooks. They work on walleye. I've been replacing all the hooks on the Renosky's with the triple grips. They are a thin wire hook. They don't change the action. On 5" I put a Short shank in the middle and a regular shank on the tail. If I'm tipping the lure with worn I place it on the first hook otherwise I remove that hook.
These hooks will run you .15 to .22 depending where you but them and quantity.
Joe has to keep the price reasonable for guys that don't care or know.

LT..I ran higher than most but started running even higher after prefishing with Gary at Dunkirk. That worked well this season until mid August when our fish really went deep. Most of our fish came 50-70' after that. Gary specificaly targeted those high fish to help keep fish swimming for the live weigh ins and release.

I fished up high all summer and caught fish. September came and I pulled all my fish 70 to 80 off Dunkirk. But the thermocline was down there. The lake set up funney this year with most of the migrating fish on the Canadian side. Do you fish the lower river in the winter, its ice free, and lots of steelhead and lakers. I used to fish Dunkirk harbor all winter but moved to the lower Niagara. If you want any info I'll be fishing it from now till April.

Jim..don't do much winter fishing. Get out occasionaly with the fly rod for steelies. Hate dragging the rig through all the road messthis time of year.

If your interested to fish the lower holler, I have a boat. I know what you mean, we use salt in NY. I have a heated warehouse and can wash the boat and put it inside.
We can discuss Renowsky's drifting the lower Niagara.
