Has anyone tried zips for eyes ice fishing? Lure sizes?

The only trick would be if you have current. Then you may have to use larger sizes. That said I know a number of guys who knock fish in plenty of current with 1/2 oz. sonars. With our winter fishing and reduced currents it brings on thesippi we usually use lighter jigs and sonars- I'm sure it would work the same with zips - if you can keep the line taught their heavy enough. It also helps to use a short segment of heavier mono as a leader with a quality swivel on top. Maybe two feet... Good luck, Chuckles

Go for the larger size.
Most of the time if a walleye is cranked up enough for a "ZIP" style bait the larger size works the best.
Better "THUMP" in my opinion.
