Some are not very cold weather or wt conditions friendly, or the connections are poor quality. They will cause you headaches in no time at all. With some research I found a product that is friendly from +140 to -40 and utilises easy to use and high quality compression fillings with stainless steel pins, no corrosion worries. Platinum Lighting on the net handles the product line I found to be the best. You can get 12V in 3/8 and 1/2 with the track or clip mounting systems most handy to put the rope where you need it.
