Can you tell if your prop is out of balance when it's still on the boat? and what does it do?
I don't think it's possible on the boat. A prop shop will be able to test for balance. Running and out of balance prop can have very negative effects on your lower unit (wallowing out bearings...). If in doubt, get it tested.

If you're tuned into your boat's back end you should be able to feel a slight vibration. I felt this in mine & took the prop to a shop & sure enough two blades were slightly out. The prop came like this as I felt the vibration from the start. It's a little easier to feel if you trim your motor down as far as it will go...the hydraulics won't dampen the vibration when you do this.
