Finally did it - got one on a tip-up last night. 28" 10# 5oz - The lake we fished is known for average size but this suprised all of us.
First thing I thought of was all the info you guys gave me. Please accept my thanks!

Congratulations Mike. I know how happy I was with my first one and the feeling never stops even after quite a few. There's something magical about that legitimate 10# walleye.
congratulations! mike. fishing memories like this will be your treasure.
the "ten#er" i'm lookin' for these days might be a great swimmer but she ain't gonna have gills!

Thanks again - what a blast! Yup this ones a mounter, all the rest are safe until we find a 15 (the first one took almost 30 years of fishing so I guess they are safe for awhile yet.)

I remember my first 10 pounder, if I wasn't already addicted to walleyes before (which I was), I sure was after. Congratulations, now you get to work for an 11, then a 12, etc. LOL.
