Sorry! Talking Trout. I should have been specific. I just realized I'm on a walleye group.
There are a lot of big Walleye there, but most guys I know target the trout in winter. I never fished it in the summer for walleye so I don't know where to start. They got to be there thought.
"rebs" pitch in.

Jim is right the big walleye are in the river
best bet is the lower drifts and the canadian side of the bar

some good baits are fin-s minnows in emerald ice color, live or imitation leeches use either one on a jig head

crawlers on worm harness wioth small blades in nickle-copper color
nickle on one side copper on the other with red beads

best method is drifting, I don't know anyone who trolls in the river

these are summer tactics, I fish rainbows, steelhead, browns and lakers in the winter months

a friend of mine was drifting for walleye and caught a 52" muskie
