Would like to replace treble hooks with single hooks on Mepps #5 and other in line spinner baits. Any ideas on size, type of hook, etc?? Primary use for fishing in wild rice and other weedy areas.

I use the VMC "Alaska" hooks (Cabela's).
They are open eye so you slip them on and close the eye with a pliers. They are heavy duty and work great for fishing the weeds for pike. I replace the trebles on #4 & 5 Mepps, #5-7 Vibrax, larger 3/4 oz up Daredevles and 1 oz red eye wigglers. Probably catch 80-90% of my Canadian pike on those four and most of the others on big spinnerbaits.

forgot sizes. I match those to the specific lure. I bought a package each of the 1, 1/0 and 2/0.
