does anyone know of a supplier for blade bait that has a good selection in makers, size and color? BassPro is best i've found but is limited in size and colors and only cicada, gay blade & silver buddy. In addition the vib-e and blitz sound big in the erie country and the heddon sonar is popular. i can only find the ripple tail locally so have to order. Cabela's new catalogs don't offer anything. thanks for any suggestions.

I have been using Bitzer creeks zip lures for some years now and think they work great their size and color selection is big too.
I know they sell them at Dick's sporting goods,Fleet farm,Gander Mountain,Bass Pro, and in a number of small shops around the area by me.Take a look at these baits, I think you will like them.

Why not make your own blade baits? http://jannsnetcraft.com/ has all
you need to get started. Eveything from the molds, blanks, open shank treble hooks and paint and decals. Molds can make up to 6 at time in different weights. They have 2 different styles of molds.
Once you get started, you can make them for a fraction of the cost.
You can paint them to you own liking and even sell them to your buddies. My 9 yr. old daughter loves making them.
Whatever you do stay away from the Dip lure. Their advertising methods make all fishermen look like complete idiots and their lures are no better than the others. They really catch morons well in WI though....

I have used the ZIP Lure made by Bitzer Creek and have had good results, vertical jigging, casting, and trolling. I think all blade baits are about equal, they all will catch fish one day or the other.
