Hello to all. I live in Bellingham, WA and am pretty new to walleye/bass fishing. I would appreciate any suggestions on places to fish and what to use. I am pretty much a casting type of guy. I bought a new Ranger 617 and should receive it in a couple of weeks and would like to try some places that are not over a few hours drive from here. Thanks for any help. My email addy is: rhardy@televar.com

You are out of luck for walleye. Closest place to you is Columbia river. Sign fellow westsider, Brian

You approximately 260 miles from the Portland area of the Columbia river or 260 miles from Moses Lake. From Moses it's 45 minutes to Banks Lake or 15 minutes to Potholes. If you are a casting type of guy then Moses and Potholes are the best choices as they often have shallow jig/blade bites. bb

Any impoundment above a dam or below any dam on the Columbia you'll find walleyes.Evergreen Res., Scootenay Res.,Sprague Lake are also GOOD bets.I live in Lacey, Wa. and fish walleyes all over the state.
