How is the walleye fishing around Port Clinton on Memorial Day weekend?

I have never fished Erie before and am intested in going there on Memorial Day weekend.

Also, any advise on a good charter?

Bob, first of all Port Clinton and the island are a "zoo" over memorial day weekend. I live there all summer and try and find someplace to go on holiday weekends.
As far as fishing is concerned, the bigger fish are further east. I move my boat to Huron in late August for the remainder of the season. Bigger fish, less boat and people.

Fishing in the Western Basin of Lake Erie is excellent during this time of the year. As Dean stated it is a busy time around Port Clinton. A lot of traffic on the roads as well as on the Lake.
