Hey Bill, I use to live in Mishawaka & am now in Colorado. We use to fish with Sandworms back there and would really like to find some by early summer. We bought them at "Bills" right by the state line, at the "Trading Post at 23 & 12 and in Vandalia. Do you know what I"m referring to and if so, the chances of getting some. I"ve caught gills, crappie, perch, and bass with them and thought they would be great for eyes on a slip bobber near the cliffs in the reservoirs out here. I plan to visit the first weekof June then have a tournament on the 14th and 15th. Maybe I'll see you. John B.

Bill, sandworms are brown and look like the white larvae that you find sometimes when you're digging in your garden. They have little whiskers on the nose end. They're about 2 inches long and you hook them just under the skin on the whisker end. When you hook them they stretch out and wiggle like a hula dancer, You can catch 4 or 5 fish on one of them. You can imagine what they're like on a slip bobber. The only thing they feed on are oak leaves. I think the bait shop guys use to go dig them on there own. They're usually found in creeks and other water areas where the oak leaves have got packed against the shore. I don't imagine any of the bait places bother doing it anymore tho they got a good price for them. They all buy from the big dealers now. I appreciate your help anyway. Here is my e-mail just in case. not2brite@earthlink.net If you get out this way maybe we can get out for some eyes. I got my first 12 pounder last year.
Thanx,
John B.
