I wanted to let everyone who doesn't already know that Gander Mountain has the X-85 on clearence for $300. They are selling fast in Lacrosse, which is where I found mine. I had Gander Mountain call Bass Pro at a cuple of different locatons and they both wanted $400 for the X-85's. I was told that once they are gone, that will be it as they are being replaced by the X-91's. The X-91's, I believe, are going to retail for $420 or so. When I compared the two, I saw the X-91 has a larger screen and the temp. built into the transducer. Other than that, they were hte same machine with a slightly different look.

The X91 operates on a different frequency 200 instead of 192 which means maybe? no or less interference with other units. Also no X-85's left in Mpls area at the Ganders, they're history

I have bought two of them from Gander Mountain in Franklin, Wisconsin. As of 1/26 they had two left. Gander in Brookfield had two of them last I checked which was 2/2.

If you are already running Eagle products the plugs may be compatible and you don't have to even re-wire the locator leads. The fishing department manager at Gander Germantown tells me that he took his Eagle Ultra Classics off, put his Eagle upgrades in (I cannot remember the name of the upgrade but it went from 160 pix for the Ultra Classic to 240 for the upgrades), and then just bought x-85's during the closeouts and has already put them on his boat.

The cradles, transducers, and speedometer/temp units all hooked up through all of this without changing them. Plus, if you look at replacement transducers, the package says they are for all of these units so one is not losing anything by leaving the wiring in place.

FYI.
