My vote is for the Richter.Ive tried every anchor out there, went to a richter three years ago and love it.I use it alot on the Miss. river to hold above the wings ****s.when it hits bottom it holds. The only down fall is theyre bulky and harder to store then some of the other brands.

I have used both of these anchors. I have found that the Pro Anchor holds better in soft and sand bottoms due to the flat flukes The split tips also help it to dig in and grab the bottom. As far as rocks the Pro Anchor is the only one with dual reverse pull out bars to get it back out. The flukes on the Pro Anchor are widest at the end of the fluke so it will not wedge in the rocks, yet the fluke to body design allows it to hold and grab in rocks.

I think these anchors are both very good - similar designs. I have the Richter. Since I bought the Richter, I found out about the Pro-anchor and I have to admit, if I were to buy another anchor today, it would be the Pro. I don't think the difference is big enough to double back and purchase a Pro-Anchor but faced with the situation from the start, I'd probably pick the Pro-Anchor. I think you'll be happy with either of them.
