Best Planer Board MAST????

I have an opertunity to purchase a Wiley planner board mast at considerable lower price 120.00 dollars lower than a big john
What is your recomendation its only on sale this week ...Help

I've got both, they both work fine and get the job done. I seem to like Big Jon a little bit better. Willies came with a heavy mono type line, Big Jon with braided cord. The releases slide down the mono better, but it just seems to brittle or more likely to get a knick in it. The reels on each are adjustable for height, and I like Big Jons base a lot better than Willies, Bid Jons are secured by 4 bolts which takes more time to secure but is very solid, Willies is secured by one set screw. I'm not knocking Willies by any means, my son uses it on his boat and catches as many or more fish than I do. I just prefer Big Jons. I'm sure that one or the other will get the job done for you.

I like the Willy's having used both. I do like the Off-Shores' too. Actually, they all get the job done, so you would be hard-pressed to pick wrongly!

Now, the boards...............................whole different story!! I have the Otters and I prefer them but everyone has their differences. I happen to like the Otters.
