Considering a trip in mid-March. Is it a good time to go? Any tips or advice would be great since we have never been there.

You will be either hitting the tail end of the spawn or post spawn. Probably be tough for wallleyes but should be great for white bass and crappies.

Fished it last year 3rd week in March, they had record low temps that weekend, we ended up with a few white bass & crappie.
Heading down there March 13th this year.
