I'm looking for a new depth finder. I'm looking at a couple of Lowrance models, the X-87 and the X-91. The X-87 has better screen resolution 320 x 320 compared to 240 x 240, but the X-91 has more watts 3000 compared to 1500. I don't plan on fishing in depths more than 125 feet. Both cost about $330(w/speed & temp). Any suggestions on which one to buy? If you want to throw me a curve ball and suggest something different, go ahead, but I'd like to stay in the $330 range unless the extra money spent is worth the risk of deathbywife.

Cabelas also has the reconditioned Garmin 240 with speed and temp and warranty for $229. Super deal on a real nice unit!

I compared the Eagle 320 to the Lowrance X-87 and the specs are EXACTLY the same but the Eagle model is $100 cheaper. So now the questions is: Is Lowrance overcharging for their product, or is Eagle using parts of lesser quality?
