Ideal casting line

My latest addition to the fishing arsenal is Loomis CBR841 Med light rod coupled with a Shimano Scorpion 1001.
I will be using this rod to throw small crankbaits in areas without a lot of cover (rip rap, shallow points, humps, gravel banks, etc.)with 10 lb line (maybe 8 lb).
I am curious what brand and model of line would be optimum for this setup and conditions.

Nice outfit, a lot of the poster on this board http://www.wmi.org/bassfish/bassboard/rods_reels/index.html have Scorpion's and really like them.

While I'm certain that you'll get some good advice here, you might be better served by posting your question on the board above; where you'll be getting feedback from Scorpion owners.
