I seen a post on here last year that discussed this topic and a website address was posted that had a diagram showing how to do this. I made a copy but naturally misplaced it. I know how to do it myself, but a lot of freinds ask me about it and it would be a lot easier to have a print out on it rather than trying to explain to them on how to do it, some of them can't even fillet a fish the proper way. Thanks #566

It is a little extra work, but well worth it. Pike are every bit as good walleye, (in my opinion).

I agree with you Neal/CO pike are very good out of cold water, they are a little slimy and a mess to clean but very well worth it.

I agree, excellent table fair. Sometimes I'll grind the northern fillets with onion and seasoning, mix in some egg, coat with cracker crums and deep fry in a deep frying pan. Yuuuuuummmmmy... Best fish burgers in the west.....

I recently got a video "No Bones About It" because I've always had trouble removing Y bones too. I didn't know this tape was going to show a completely new way of fileting northerns. Does anybody filet their northerns this way? It looks like it'd take a while, but I suppose like anything else you get quicker with practice. Curious to see if anybody does it this way and how long it takes. Thanks in advance.
