It all started Thursday night. Just finished checking WC message boards 11:45 PM time for bed. Shut down puter go to turn lights off and WHAM! loose all electrical power. We had an ice storm but it didnt seem all that bad...boy was I wrong! Go to work Friday still no power but woodstove kept house heated, put everything from fridge in big coolers looked like a war zone trees and wires down everywhere. Bring generator/welder home from work for lights, sump pump, etc. Not bad keeping all going. Saturday still no power, 10:50 PM my chocolate lab starts having her puppies. She has 12 of which 2 of them were still born. So we have 5 yellows and 5 blacks. Mom is doing fine! Sunday, finally get power back at 12:00 noon take generator back to work. Then to top everything off my Patriots win their first Super Bowl!! Sure was nice to get back to work today & relax..LOL

keep them pups warm....#1 cause for neonatal deaths is pups get cold and then all kinds of things happen....sounds like you did real well...steve....if you have any vet questions i am here to help

Rich, I know where you're coming from. It really was a disaster around here but somehow, I never lost power. Within a half mile of me everyone was dark for a few hours. Congrats on the pups. Labs are my favorite dog and I really miss my black one. Hey, Long Pond, Cranberry and Braddocks will all be fishable this weekend (if not before). Maybe I'll see ya there.

Hi Pete,
I may have to work Saturday, not sure yet, but Sunday I will definitely be fishing. Let me know what your plans are maybe we can meet. Email marbleye@rochester.rr.com .

Thanks vetspet. Yeah keeping them warm is definitely important. We have moved them to a room that has electric heater (now that we have power..lol) room is between 80 & 85 degrees. Take them for dew claw removal today and general health check.
