Just put power pro 8lb-1lb. di. on 2 of my spinning rods and 2 baitcasters. I've always used fireline but thought i'd try something new. Any input on power pro, good or bad? Thanks

Good stuff. I have gone to it exclusively for casting jigs with my spinning outfit. I took 2 13lbers and a 12lber on 8/1 Power Pro this winter. I would however recommend going to a heavier test if fishing in sharp rock. You will like the no memory and its easy to cast a mile. I give it a slight edge over Fireline, but they are both good.

Good product, extremely bad customer service and people skill's, never met a rudder bunch of reps and company people in my life, you couldn't give me the stuff.
Went back to Fireline and spooled up one reel with P-lines new braid, very close to Power Pro with awesome dist. Rep.

I love PP. I use it for everything from 10/2 for walleyes up to 80# for muskies. It is extremely strong, abrasion resistant, casts well and lasts forever (I use it hard for two years before switching to new, and I might not even have had to switch then).

I've been using the PP since last year and have no complaints.
Been trollin and jiggin with it and have liked the results.
I've also emailed Power Pro for some feedback on their reps.
Big believer in promoting good companys that help fisherman, not the opposite.

We fish alot of rocky areas up here in the U.P. of Michigan. We found that Power-pro and Cabelas Rip cord Si doesn't fray nears as fast as fireline while pulling bouncers. We love it!!! Hope this helps your confidence. Paul

There is a similar post on the "General Discussion forum" that wasn't mentioned by anyone. So, I'll repeat what I posted there:
I use 30# test / 8# diameter PP for all of my bottom bouncing applications because I like its toughness, thin diameter, and abrasion resistance. It holds up well against abrasion from rocks and submerged trees in the Southwestern reservoirs I fish.
For jigging, I like PP 10# test, 2# diameter. I use an open-face reel, Shakespeaare Catera 4540, for both applications. It is an inexpensive reel that has very smooth action because it has 4 ball bearings! It also has an instant clutch. Hard to beat at 2 - 3X the price.
