What are most of you guys using as a light source for charging glo jigs, hooks etc? Yesterday on Lindners Angling Edge, Al used what I thought was a Tazer. I looked up Tazer in Cabelas and coudln't find it.
We use an old camera-no film just the flash. Works well and now you have recycled another item for mother nature. Fishin On!

They sell Tazer light sources for this application and they are small like a keychain.
I use a corless rechargeble spotlight and it doubles as a light in the boat for finding the landing or any other reason.
Both will light up glow paint brighter than any normal flashlight.

You can get the Tazer light at lindylittlejoe.com or Bass Pro has something similar. I have one of each, they both work great.
be carefull. lindys tazer is a true high quality blue light. blue is critical as it is the brightest. lots of companies have them now but lindys is probably the best so far. many are no more than flashlights. a camera flash is crazy when you can get better light for 10 bucks and keep it in your pocket.

If I'm not mistaken, the Lindys Tazer has a lifetime guarantee. If it stops working you can take it in to the store where you purchased it and get a new one no questions asked.

I did a comparison one time between a camera flash and an ordinary flash light. The glow lures charged with the flash light lasted just as long as the lures charged with the camera flash. Seems like a waste of money to me to buy any kind of special glow charging device.

Hi,
I buy cameras at Goodwill & Salvation Army for $2.00.
May I be fishing somewhere Tomorrow.
The taser is basically a blue led flash light.
There are lots of them out there, that you can pick up at wall mart and others that are sold for use on your key chain.
Basically, they all contain a very bright blue led, and a silver oxide battery that lasts a very long time.
A couple of bucks and you will be good to go.
The nice thing about them is that you can keep them in your shirt pocket becuse they are so small.
Also, they work as an emergency light, when coming up a dark path in the dark from the lake.
Take care

I agree. I have a similar flash used for ice fishing, and a tazer I hang on the zipper of my bibs. I think it is about a horse a piece between the flash and the tazer. Both have their good points, but I prefer the flash- for the simple reason that you can "charge" all jigs at once, rather than one at a time with the tazer.
