Fishing Hot Spots HotMaps are now available in 8 regions, and are for use in Lowrance GPS/Fishfinders.

They come on an MMC - there are no CD downloads - ready to use, right out of the box!

For more information, visit www.navionics.com/fhs

Thanks.

A major drag that you have to buy the whole region for one map on a
X-15!

Individual maps are $25 plus the cost of the MMC card. You can supply your own card if you like. I believe they charge $44 for their cards.

You use to be able to, look at the web site that is posted above, MMC cards are for regions only now. I have two maps that I bought as individual maps before but now it appears they went the way of the cash cow.

The link is http://www.navionics.com/fhs/regionmain.asp

But it looks like no single maps for the X-Units. I wonder if they still wouldn't build one for you if you called them. Worth a try I suppose...The regions are a really good deal if you fish several lakes. Thats marketing I guess.

I bought the x15 last spring without gps. There were lots of problems with gps equipped units--it would seem those problems are now in the past. True? Should I download v2.1 to add gps? And does the region map have full detail on all the lakes in the region? And does anyone elses unit get darker after being on for several hours? Mine doesn't go black like my Pinpoint 7820 but does get noticably darker. Thanks.

If I own two GPS units, can I use the card in both units, or are they unit specific?

From what I understand the MMC you can use on both of your units, the other software you can not. I know on my GM1600 they required an internal serial number from the unit to lock the maps to that unit. The MMC card should work on more than one unit but you cannot copy the maps to a second MMC.

Has anyone tried these maps in the X-15? Do they show small detail and contour lines? Just curious before I send off the big check. Thanks.

I used the Little Bay map last year and thought it was worth the price.

FYI, talked to navionics and the cost of the mmc card is included in the regional price of 129.00. That makes it more reasonable considering your including many bodies of water in a single region.. rc

I have the hot maps for my 3000MT GPS and they are great. Well worth the money.

For my understanding. Do the Cards that come from Navtonics that one can put into a x-15 have all the lakes in the region with depth contures?
